Frosty
Born 1984, arrived at BARR December 15, 2005, weight 807, 14hh, Arabian gelding.
Frosty was found tied to a tree by a hunter just passing by, apparently abandoned and left to die in the Ochoco National Forest. He has a large calcium deposit on his right front knee. Other than it being hard to bend that knee he enjoys his life with corral mate Major.

Rusty
Born 1988, arrived at BARR July18, 2006, weight 950, 15hh, Quarter gelding.
Rusty was the victum of sever abuse. He has an old condition called string halts which makes him unridable for the most part. He was riden to hard by his previous owner until he collapsed then his owner tied all four feet with baling string to the bumper of his truck and dragged him down the road.

Patriot is lame and his owner could not longer afford to keep him if he was unridable. He is a very easy keeper and a savey herd animal.

Fire’s owner died in September of 2006. She was then adopted from BARR where she was a Pasture Pal for another horse. THEN, her 14 hh new owner had an on the job injury and couldn’t work so she returned her to BARR. Appaloosa – Mare
Paris, arrived 10-24-07, 700 lbs
Available for adoption. She is 20 ish years old. She is a doll, any one can ride her. She needs special food grass pellets/beet pulp soaked to mush.
